Why Choose Stasis Rehab for Physiotherapy

We built our clinic around the things that actually matter in physiotherapy: time with your therapist, clinical evidence, a team that works together, and a patient who understands their own recovery.

1:1 Physiotherapy Sessions

Every appointment is one practitioner with one patient. No double booking, no rotating between treatment rooms. You get the full session with your physiotherapist.

Evidence-Based Treatment

Our treatment plans are grounded in current clinical research and delivered by registered physiotherapists who keep up to date with the latest techniques.

Interdisciplinary Rehab Team

We work alongside registered massage therapists, chiropractors, kinesiologists, acupuncturists, occupational therapists, and clinical counsellors. If your recovery needs more than physiotherapy, your team is already in the building.

Education First Approach

We make sure you understand your injury and the plan to recover from it. The more you understand about your condition, the better the outcome tends to be.

Benefits of Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy is more than recovering from an injury. The right treatment plan can help you move better, hurt less, and stay ahead of problems that often get worse if left alone.

Reduces pain

Targeted treatment addresses the source of the pain, not just the symptom.

Restores movement

Improves joint range, muscle strength, and the way you move through daily tasks.

Speeds up recovery

A structured plan helps you bounce back faster from injury, surgery, or an accident.

Prevents future injuries

Identifies movement patterns and weak points so the same injury does not happen again.

Improves posture and balance

Especially valuable for desk workers, older adults, and anyone recovering from a vestibular issue.

Reduces reliance on medication

Many patients find they need less pain medication once they are progressing with a physiotherapy plan.

Our Physiotherapy Treatment Techniques

Our physiotherapy team uses a wide variety of treatment techniques. The exact mix depends on your assessment, your goals, and how your body responds to treatment.

Physiotherapist performing manual therapy on a patient's pelvis

Manual Therapy

Hands-on techniques used to mobilize joints, release tight tissue, and restore movement.

Patient doing therapeutic lunge exercises during physiotherapy

Therapeutic Exercise

Targeted exercises prescribed to rebuild strength, range of motion, and control around the injured area.

Physiotherapist coaching a patient through movement training

Movement Training

Coaching that retrains the way you move so you stop reinforcing the patterns that caused the pain in the first place.

Physiotherapist reviewing a treatment plan with a patient

Patient Education

Clear explanations of what is happening in your body and what each part of the treatment plan is doing about it.

Physiotherapist performing IMS dry needling on a patient's shoulder

Intramuscular Stimulation

Fine acupuncture needles inserted directly into tight or overactive muscles to release trigger points and restore normal muscle function.

What to Expect at Your First Physiotherapy Appointment

Physiotherapy treatment starts with a thorough medical screen and a good deal of listening, followed by an expert physiotherapy assessment.

During the assessment, we zero in on your goals and build the best plan to successfully get you to where you want to be.

Our physiotherapy team specializes in musculoskeletal examination and treatment, and we use a wide variety of techniques, including manual therapy, exercise, movement training, education, and lifestyle interventions.

Insurance & Direct Billing

We direct bill ICBC, WorkSafe BC, and most major extended health plans, including Pacific Blue Cross, Sun Life, Green Shield Canada, Desjardins, and Manulife.

For most patients, this means no upfront payment and no paperwork on your side. We handle it.

I came to see Rob for the first time today - I’ve seen three other physios before throughout my athletic life - and was very impressed with his knowledge. He did a thorough assessment of my injury was able to immediately determine which muscle groups needed to be fixed and which exercises to recommend to do it. He sent me home with some resistance bands to work on the exercises at home and emailed a couple of demonstration videos to remind me of how the exercises work. I had a really good experience and highly recommend him!

The appointments were in relation to a post ankle injury for my child. Rob, the physiotherapist, was knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and kid friendly. He was good at teaching the recommended exercises. After a few sessions, we were well equipped with the tools to continue with maintenace on our own. Good clinic overall!

I've been seeing Rob for a long time and I can say that he helped me a lot to get through my aches and pains. he goes above and beyond, even though I come for a specific area he find ways to make sure that after the said treatment i feel great and relieved from Pain. He is very accommodating, respectful and definitely very knowledgeable of his craft. Once you experience the therapy that he provides I am sure that you will come back to book more appointments with him. The clinic is very clean, the staff in the front desk is very helpful, kind and always with a big smile. i will keep coming back for sure.
Amazing clinic with fantastic staff! I was beyond impressed with the services provided. Two weeks after my father’s total knee replacement, the surgeon had told my dad that he was going to have to work really hard to obtain positive results and was concerned about the limited progress my father had made in his recovery. Knowing that my dad was going to need some extra help to reach his rehab goals, I took him to Stasis Rehabilitation. Within four sessions of seeing Physiotherapist Rob Francis, my dad exceeded his goals and is now enjoying a greater quality of life and is getting back to doing all the activities he loves. Rob was professional, personable and patient with my very stubborn father. I will be recommending Rob to all my family and friends for any of their physiotherapy needs !
